Not too long earlier, in October 2005, some of us had visited the upper section of Bowens
Creek South Branch and then on another trip the middle section
of the South Branch. This trip was planned to finish off the canyon.
We started by climbing into Bowens Creek at the junction of the North
and South branches and continued down to the Mill Ck junction. Then we
climbed up Mill Ck a short distance and then up a good ridge to Mt
Tomah.
