Kingdom Come Walk – 2-3 November 2013

Roger wanted to take his young son Jeremy out on an overnight bush walk. We considered a few suggestions and decided on walk in the Heathcote area to Kingdom Come.

We went by train to Waterfall and then walked along the Bullawarring Track to The Kingfisher Pool where we had a rest, and then kept going to the Goanna Track to the Pipeline and then the short distance to Kingdom Come.

It was a hot dry day and it was good to arrive at Kingdom Come with its huge swimming hole.

All the streams and rivers were running quite low, and below the big pool there was a big section of rock slabs that would be a very nice place after rain.

On Sunday we walked back to the Pipeline and then was walking to Heathcote via the Friendly Track.

Little Jeremy, not yet two years old, did well on the walk – doing a fair bit on his own feet rather than riding in the backpack.
