Wolli Creek Fungi – 4 April 2018

I had a quick walk down the Two Valleys Track between Bexley North and Turrella looking for fungi and any orchids that were out.

It had been quite dry and so there was not so much fungi out.

Here is some of what I found –

One interesting species that I had found on my previous trip down the valley, I had been wrong about and now I think I know what it is –

These are the same species – probably Aphelia sp. I had originally been puzzled with this one and thought it likely it was a type of Thelophora. But I can now see that it changes and becomes more coral like as it ages.
