Wattamolla to Little Marley – Photo Walk – 1 December 2017

This was a very pleasant day spent in Royal National Park accompanied by David Hufton. We walked from Wattamolla to Little Marley and then headed back the same way after lunch.

Lots of birds, insects and wildflowers were out. Nice. And a few lizards.

It is pleasant walking along this section of the Coastal Track. Through heath and then along the tops of the cliffs before dropping down to Little Marley Beach.

At one place on the cliffs, I noticed some small circular shapes in the sandstone. I wondered if they are made by some natural process or perhaps carved or drilled by Aboriginals?

At Little Marley, we headed into a nice shady grove behind the beach for lunch. While we were eating, a feral deer wandered past. It seemed quite unafraid.

We next headed out onto the rock platforms near the beach.

Then back along the track to Wattamolla.

At Wattamolla, we went down to the beach for a swim before heading home. More photos from this very pleasant day can be found here on my website.
