Taronga Zoo Visit – 21 September 2016

On this visit to the Zoo, I wanted to try and photograph some of the animals that were located in dark places such as the Platypus and the occupants of the Nocturnal House.

To attempt these photographic challenges in places where artificial lighting in not permitted I used a fast (55 mm f1.8) prime lens and a high ISO.

Also on my visit – I again photographed the baby langur (leaf monkey) – which was quite active.

But the highlight perhaps was seeing two newly arrived Meerkat pups. They were only about 5 weeks old and I think it may have been the first time that the public could see them (there was an item about them on TV news that evening).
