Wolli Creek – Nature Walk – 5 August 2015

This was intended to be a fungi walk – but there was not much fungi out, and what I found was old and dried out. Looks like the fungi season has ended at Wolli Creek.

But the wildflower season has begun, and there were still thousands of Greenhood Orchids out next to the track. Also there were lots of interesting birds around as well as the fruit bats.

Here is a selection of my photos –

It is a disgrace that the egret has to seek out it food amongst all the rubbish.

  1. Ken says:

Not usually much around at this time of year, but especially with as little rain as there has been. Sometimes some unusual species at the end of the season so worth looking.
