Day 91 of lockdown. It was great to catch up with friends for another picnic. Everyone is Greater Sydney is still limited to travel only 5km or within your Local Government Area, and then only a maximum of 5 double vaccinated adults can meet for a picnic. Checking maps allowed me to meet up with Su Li and Brent at Peace Park in Ashbury. Martin and Steffy were also able to make it along.
I cycled to the park via the Cooks River, and looked for birds along the way. Here is a Great Cormorant –
We had collected food along the way from a bakery and enjoyed a nice meal at the park.
We later climbed the observation tower.
We later inspected a remnant Turpentine Forest in one corner of the park.
It was good catch up with the group.
