Birdwood Gully is a short walk on the north side of Springwood. I was very familiar with this track from my childhood. It was good to see it is still in very good condition.
I started from the trailhead at Lucinda Avenue. The track climbs down to quickly join the creek. This is a delightful section. It is mainly rainforest. There are many tall turpentines.
There are many tracks in and out of the valley. I chose the short way out via Boland Avenue.
