Glenbrook Gorge – 13 October 2013

It was forecast to be a very hot day. It would be nice to get out into the bush. Rik and myself thought that a trip down into Glenbrook Gorge would be suitable. It would also allow Wendy to come along too. She has been recuperating from an injury.

We walked the short distance from the Glenbrook entrance to the Blue Mountains National Park to the start of the Gorge and then continued through it looking for a nice pool to have lunch by and have a swim.

It was hot and very windy! The best swimming holes were also right in the deep part of the gorge – which was a bit of a wind tunnel – so we had a swim and then headed back upstream to find a shady and sheltered spot for lunch.

It was a good day out. More photos on my website here.
