Fungi at Ferndale Park and The Lane Cove River – 20 June 2018

There had been a reasonable amount of rain so I thought it worth checking out Ferndale Park for fungi. The park is only a short walk from Chatswood Station and I thought I could extend it a fair bit by walking down to the Lane Cove River then walking through Lane Cove National Park along the river to Macquarie Park.

The fungi in Ferndale Park was only average. Here is some of what I found –

I then walked on the track down to the Lane Cove River. I found a bit more fungi along the way.

At the National Park, I crossed the river and then followed he Riverside Path upstream. I stopped at one of the picnic areas for lunch.

There was not that much fungi out along the  river, and none at Porters Creek. But it was a nice walk.

More photos of the fungi are online here together with identifications.
