Cooks River Birds – 23 January 2018

With the new set of Tawny Frogmouth chicks I have been checking out the birds of the Cooks River somewhat more frequently. On this day I spent two hours during the morning down at the river.

The Tawny Frogmouth family seemed to be doing well –

There also was a Pelican fishing in the river. It seemed to be having poor luck.

Later another Pelican joined it, and I did spot a very small fish in one of their bills.
