Local Birds – Cooks River and Barton Park – 2 September 2017

I spent a very pleasant day cycling along the Cooks River Cycleway, from the Boat Harbour to Botany Bay and back stopping along the way to photograph the birds.

I spent most of my time at the Landing Lights Wetland at Barton Park on this visit. 

At the Cup and Saucer Creek Wetlands, it was interesting to watch a group of Noisy Minors taking on a mush larger Raven –

And at the Landing Lights Wetland, it is a challenge to try and photograph the very fast flying Welcome Swallows in flight. Sone of my photos showed that when the swallows fly down to the water surface, they then flip upside down –
