Lane Cove Valley Fungi Walk – 13 March 2017

I did my usual walk down the Lane Cove Valley from Thornleigh to Porters Creek looking for fungi. This time there was a fair bit out.

Its a fair area to explore and there is a range of landscapes – small rainforest pockets, drier areas etc. So you need to keep your eyes open the whole way.

There are often a few strange fungi to be found. Here is one –

I think this one isĀ Phaeolus schweinitzii. One I have never seen before.
