Taronga Park Zoo Visit – 13 April 2016

Another visit to the zoo. This time I went with Chuin Nee, Ruth and Nikki. We were accompanied by quite a few toddlers – Jasper, Tas, Joey and Maggie.

Rock Wallaby and joey

We started off at the Seal Show and after that looked at the gorillas, then to the Bird Show –

Next were the Langurs, the elephants and then the Tararind monkeys. Then we paused for lunch.

After lunch, we headed to the nearby Blue Mountains Bushwalk section. The highlight here was a rock wallaby with rather a large joey. I looked in vain for the platypus. I have only spotted it on one visit – I think you need to be lucky. A lyrebird was wandering around.

We finished off at the children’s play area at the farm section. The zoo is certainly well set up for children to have a great time.

More photos from the trip are online here.
