We then went to Queenstown - getting a lift from two local trampers (thanks Owen)
Ben Lomond - half day walk
Whilst in Queenstown I took the opportunity to clim Ben Lomond - a peak close to the town with very fine views.

After visiting Queenstown, Rachael headed of to Te Anau and then Milford Sound, while I headed off via Greymouth to Arthurs Pass for a few days.
